It's How You Cook It
By aaron78 at 2009-06-11 01:41
After watching “Tampopo”, I wondered if life revolves around the dining table.

This Japanese film features different vignettes about life and delectable dishes. That a person's mood depends on how the dish is prepared (or served). It's like essay writing - there are different styles of composing.

Though ads proclaim Juzo Itami's film as a noodle western (the movie is partly set in a noodle restaurant), the movie is a paean to food. Cooking can be tedious at times and cleaning the kitchen can be stressful, but the effort is worthwhile when savoring the delicious dish or seeing people's pleased reactions.

It takes passion to make cooking (or food for that matter) a delightful experience. It's no different from writing (or essay writing for that matter).
