My husband & I are spending a week based in Funchal, Maderia in early March. Of course there is Madeira wine, but has anyone insight to Madeiran cuisine. I could imagine it is Portuguese-based with influences from North Africa and other seafaring cultures which have used Madeira as a way point throughout the centuries. Any "must-eat/try" recommendations? Many thanks! Meredith
