About 2 years ago the magazine had a great article on a county fair in Pennsylvania. It was a real quaint sounding one that I believe is in Pennsylvania Dutch territory. Does anyone remember the article and the name of the fair?? I emailed the magazine twice and no one responded. I cannot find the issue it is in.
Help my two little ones are dying to see a real county fair
thanks

I'm not sure what article you're talking about, but here in York & Lancaster Counties, we have the county fairs in Sept. York is Sept.9-18 and Southern Lancaster County (Penn Dutch territory) is Sept. 14-16.

I think there may be a nice event such as you are looking for in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, but I'll have to do some checking, as I don't live in Pennsylvania, and have only read about these festivals and fairs.

Found it - the June/July 2005 issue. It is the Kutztown Festival as Mowrer suggested, and it takes place over nine days in July. Looks like fun!

If you're in the area the Green Dragon in Ephrata, PA is well worth a stop. If I can remember correctly it's open on Fridays only and is chock full of some delicious food from the plain and not so plain alike.
