Hello,
we'll be staying in Ka'anapali beach. There are a lot of restaurants in the area, just wondering if you had any good experience or bad for that matter with any of them?

Thank you!

Mama's Fish House used to be great.

Close by in Kahana is Sansei sushi. Won't get any better than this. Haliimaile General Store in Haliimaile for a nice lunch or good dinner. Again in Kahana is Roy's, too. As suggested Mama's is nice, romantic and more for the visitor. If you see a roadside/park/school function selling Huli Huli chicken, get some. Have a great time. A Hui Ho.

Raoul, I had forgotten all about huli huli chix. It is great. The locals used to set up a huge grill in the parking lot at the Star Market (near the Triangle) Moilili-side. I have made it here in Idaho for a few catering functions (when I used to cater). Great stuff. Pretty simple. :D

You can't go wrong with Pa'ia Fishmarket on the North Shore. Get fish tacos, they may be the best you'll ever have. -$$

another vote for Mama's Fish House...if it's good enough for Oprah...-$$$$

Side note: Locals in Maui refer to food (when referring to a quick bite or lunch) as "grinds"-as in, "Where can I get some grinds?".
