Quebec City/ Mont Treblanc

We are vacation in both places this summer. Any suggestion for great food will be appreciated. I have a killer allergy to MSG and need to eat in restaurants that cook with pure fresh ingredients. It would be helpful to be able to converse with the chef(in English) to make sure that I am safe in my choices.

In Quebec City we enjoyed Le Cafe du Monde, a Parisian-styled cafe with a great view of the river. It is one of a chain of restaurants (Le Cochon Dingue) but don't let that set you back, as the food is tasty. It is at #84 Dalhousie.

We also enjoyed our visits to the Marche du Vieux-Port, a public market with local food items and a few snacks. It is at #160 Quai Saint Andre.
