Manhattan restaurant suggestions please

My boyfriend and I are spending the holidays with his family in New York. At some point in the weekend, everyone will want to go out for dinner (last year, six of us poured over, and good-naturedly argued over, the Zagat guide for at least an hour). I'd like to confidently make some suggestions that will please the palates of ten very different people. I know it's last minute, but if anyone has some favorite places in Manhattan (preferably, but not necessarily in the walking/ short cab ride neighborhood of around 60th and Park) please let me know! thanks!

from now on i will give more than two days notice before a major holiday to ask everyone to drop what they're doing and tell me where to eat! :p

btw, we walked to Keens Steakhouse after seeing a show. To anyone that hasn't been, CHECK IT OUT! Keens was beautiful and very traditional, comfortable and layered thick with history. it was nothing less than a pleasure to share the same space of those mutton, pipe, and theatre lovers of centuries past; it's the only remaining piece of the old "Herald Square" district.

among the 7 of us, we sampled a good swath of the menu, and i could never say enough! so delicious, so tender, everything about the food was perfect (i had the oysters Rockefeller and an aged t-bone)! :D:D:D
